About this campaign
MERA Cares Youth Mental Health Crisis Prevention and Intervention Pilot is an innovative program aimed at addressing the urgent mental health needs of young individuals. Leveraging the power of smart devices, such as smartphones and watches, this initiative aims to connect youth with mental health professionals seamlessly.
Over a period of six weeks, participating youth engage in a comprehensive range of activities that foster personal development and emotional well-being. Peer-to-peer counseling provides a supportive environment where young individuals can share experiences and receive guidance from their peers who have faced similar challenges. Additionally, music therapy and art therapy serve as creative outlets for self-expression and emotional healing.
Group therapy sessions further enhance the program's effectiveness by allowing participants to connect with others facing similar mental health issues. These sessions facilitate open discussions, providing a space for individuals to learn from one another and develop coping mechanisms.
By utilizing smart devices, MERA Cares ensures easy access to mental health professionals, enabling timely interventions in crisis situations. This pilot program is a proactive approach towards preventing youth mental health crises and promoting overall well-being.
